It’s national mutt’s day! This is my rescue dog, Carter. A friend of mine rescued this dog about five years ago from a rest area in Ohio. He is a truck driver and didn’t want to take Carter on the road with him so he gave Carter to me. To make a long story short. What a blessing from God he, the dog not the truck driver, is to me.
Carter is well trained and intelligent. He never goes to the restroom indoors and I never have to put him on a leash. He stays right with me on the sidewalk and comes to me when I call him. He is very loving to all people and likes to snuggle. He’s part Jack Russell and part Chihuahua. Carter will be eight years old in September.
Since I am using a community computer and the lab is closed on the weekends I’ll see y’all on Monday afternoon. Everyone have a blessed and safe weekend.
I thought this was a really cute photo and wanted to share it. Now this is what you can call true friendship. It almost reminds me of Isaiah 11:6 that says “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them.”
Joel and Victoria said the following much better than I probably could have. But, they captured my feelings precisely.
Remember, as a believer in Jesus, the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives on the inside of you. There is no challenge too difficult, no obstacle too high, no sickness, no disappointment, no person, nothing that can keep you from your God-given destiny. If you stay in faith, then God will turn what was meant to be a stumbling block into a stepping stone, and you’ll move forward in strength, full of faith and victory!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for setting me up for success in everything I do. I choose to trust and rely on You knowing that Your plans are for my good. I know my best days are ahead of me and look ahead to the blessings You have in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
