I can’t believe that another weekend is here already. My how time flies especially when a person is filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit. See y’all on Monday.
Everyone have a safe and blessed weekend. I won’t be on the computer again until Monday afternoon because I have to use a public computer and the lab is closed on the weekends. I’m so poor that I can’t afford a computer of my own. I am trying to save up $100 on Amazon so that I can buy a tablet. Maybe by Christmas. I need one so I can start on my writing career.
I live next to the area of Las Vegas where there are many homeless people. My heart goes out to them and I believe that God has called me to minister unto them. I have many years being homeless myself and can relate to their problems.
Admitting that it is not easy, but this is my goal. How about you?
This seems to be mostly true in my life. I’ve been through many trials and temptations. I’ve even turn my back on God from time to time, but because of His grace and mercy I’ve never given up hope and have always returned to the sheepfold like the prodigal son. This is a response to one of my Twitter followers who asked me how a person could be deceived into thinking that he or she is saved.
They are only giving lip service to accepting Jesus because they think that it is expected of them, usually to please someone else. They don’t have a heartfelt conversion and repentance of their sinful behaviors and have little if any desire to give up their sinful lifestyles. As an example from my life: When I was a teenager I went to the altar and prayed the sinner’s prayer to please my Mother. But, I lived as a sinner for many years thereafter. My Mom thought I was saved though. (See 1 John 3:9,10). People need to examine their lives and motivations according to the Word of God. 2 Cor. 5:17 promises that if a person is truly saved he/she will become a new creation. If that isn’t manifested in a person’s life they need to question their true salvation.
At least this is my understanding from my study of the Bible. When I study the Bible I always ask the Holy Spirit to help me to rightly understand and interpret His Word.
